Balance Blood Pressure

Elevated blood pressure has been identified as one of the most important risk factors in both coronary heart ailment and cerebrovascular (Stroke) accidents. It may also lead to congestive heart and renal failure. The main biological doshas (Humors) involved in elevated blood pressure are Pita (Fire) and Vata (Air). Vitiated Pitta (Fire) while circulating in the body, with the help of Vata (Air), reaches the orifices of the dilated and obstructed splenic and hepatic blood carrying vessels. Then it causes the vitiation of Rakta (Blood). So the vitiated Pita (Fire) plays an important role in the pathogenesis of elevated blood pressure. In case of vitiated Vata (Air), elevated blood pressure is accompanied with headache and does not remain constant.
