Ayurveda describes these herbs as best antacid and mild laxative. These herbs are Vata (air) and Pitta (fire) pacifying agents. They reduce nausea, hyperacidity and even help the healing of peptic as well as duodenal ulcers. Their purgative action decreases the excess Pitta (fire). They stimulate the secretion of healthy digestive enzymes and peristalsis. They decrease acidity due to their alkaline nature. This decrease of acidity takes place due to the digestive action of these herbs, which stimulate secretion of gastric juices. They also pacify the burning action of the Pitta (fire).
All the herbs used in netacid act as digestive tonic and reduce the excess Pitta (fire).
