Literally meaning ten roots, this traditional formula is specifically used to pacify Vatta (Air) and Kapha (Water). It is commonly prepared as a tea for Basti (Herbal Enema). Dashamula is a group of ten roots and a combination of Laghu Panchamula (small five roots) and Vrihata Panchamula (big five roots). The action of these roots is balancing for the three Doshas (Humors vatta-air, Pitta-fire, Kapha-water).

It is useful in Cold flashes (when one feels coldness in upper and lower limbs), Vertigo, Excessive Sweating, Cough, Dysponea, Chest pain (due to cough) and in Edema.

According to Ayurveda

After delivery weakness and fatigue is a natural phenomenon for a lady. This decoction should be given after four hours of the delivery (twice a day) from 1 ^st day to 10 ^th day. Many complications can arise after delivery during these days such as Body aches, Fever, Pain Abdomen, Excessive thrust, Anemia, Pain Abdomen, Malaise, and Anorexia. This decoction helps to resolves all type of these complications.

It is also helpful in many complications to the lady after delivery such as Stomatitis, Burning Sensation of hands, feet & eyes, Decreased Lactation. It gives good results in these complications.

In Vatta (Air) vitiated problems this decoction is useful. It is to be given in chronic Vatta (old Vatta) vitiated problems with Yograj Guggulu.
